On Saturday April 25th my Mum took Lorna and I to Bournemouth for the Susie’s Track Omnium which is a National qualifier. We didn’t get off to a good start as it had rained all night and just stopped at 8am as we arrived. We sat and watched the track dry for four and a half hours until we finally started off with the Time Trials.
Next came my favourite race of the day and I came second after riding my best elimination race ever. Then the scratch race where I ended up in 3rd. The U16’s scratch races were shortened as the rain started again. The event was ended at this point as the track was getting too wet. I ended up coming 3rd overall which I was really pleased with. This was Zoe’s 2nd ever track competition and she did really well coming in 6th. The day was really fun especially waiting around with Lorna, Zoe, Niall and Louis.

- U10 Boys: Jed Smithson 2nd, Pascal Giret 3rd
- U14 Girls: Jemma Bowler 3rd, Zoe Brookes 6th
- U16 Boys: Louis Rose-Davies 3rd, Niall Dawkins 12th
- U16 Girls: Lorna Bowler 4th, Harriet Mellor 5th
