Now this week’s end-of-session circuit races were rather special! Your coaches have been admiring Chris Froome’s pedalling style in the Tour de France in the last few weeks. As Chris has shown, pedalling smoothly and efficiently at speed is really important if you want to be a great cyclist. Your Coaches wanted Slipstreamers to have some practice at this and so the end of session race was a ‘low gear’ race where everyone had to ride in their easiest gear. Although just one lap, it’s really hard work to race in this gear so very well done to everyone who took part, and especially to our winners. If you have a turbo trainer or rollers at home it’s great to use this to practice. We may well be trying this again sometime soon at the circuit!
