Wessex Cyclo-cross League, Round 5, Sunday 5th October
A chilly start on Sunday morning greeted those making their way to Southampton for the 5th leg of the Wessex Cyclo-cross League. The morning warmed up but left a few slippery conditions for riders to manage. The course had some technical parts in and around the trees, with a lumpy course to keep the mind focused on gear choice. It was fast and furious, with a few falls; but at the end all the riders had given their very best. In the U12 races, Jed Smithson secured a 1st place win in the U10 category, taking 3rd place overall U12s. Also racing for Slipstreamers were Gabe Banner in the Youth category, and James Brown, Thomas Lindsell, and Madison Emment racing in the U12s. Well done all of you, it is not easy and you all did brilliantly.
