Most of you will have heard about the British Cycling Young Volunteer scheme, and what an excellent way it is for you to grow your leadership and communication skills whilst continuing to cycle. We have a number of Young Volunteers at the club already part of this programme, including your very own Rider Reps Hannah Keating and Ben Moriarty, and Level 1 Coach Hannah Gunn – among many others. As a club, we would love to encourage more of you to take on this role, which we believe will provide you with various life skills that will help you as you grow on your respective journeys – both within and outside of cycling. Read all about Hannah Gunn’s journey by clicking here, and do visit the BC Young Volunteer page for full details and further information.

If you are currently aged 14+, or will be turning 14 within the next few months, and are interested in becoming a Young Volunteer, please email Asti as a starting point. We are in the process of arranging a workshop session early 2015 for new Young Volunteers, so please do let us know as soon as possible if you are interested so we can plan accordingly. If you have any questions, do feel free to talk to Asti or John Gunn at the club, or via email.
