On a December morning, not usually associated with Time Trials, 22 riders turned out to try and brave the near-freezing conditions. Those riders that did had to combat the conditions by warming up sufficiently to be able to ignore the effects of the cold. For some of the younger riders, this was just too much to ask, as fingers and toes were quickly affected. For those that did see it through, again we were impressed by subsequent performances.

Rides to note came from Josh Copley, Jamie Wimborne and Finlay Hawker. Josh receives the day’s “Fearless and Foolish” award for wearing a skinsuit in December and recording the fastest time of the day. Josh was also riding his road bike with no aero equipment. Jamie was hot on Josh’s wheels, recording his personal best for the season and maintaining some very steady lap times.

Finlay gets the “Hardman” award for being one of the youngest riders to complete, and also for counting his own laps and still being able to communicate with his support team (mum) verbally.
